This tour is a history concentrate, as we will visit some of the Italian wonders worldwide famous, and international tourist destinations. We will get into the heart of wonderful Tuscany, we will come to know Umbria, less famous but equally interesting and then the Independent republic of San Marino, the oldest republic in the world. Plus, we will have the chance to drive on really wonderful roads.

DISCOVERING TUSCANY AND UMBRIA

Day 1: arrive in Milan

Arrival in Milan. In the evening we will get together in order to know each other and have the welcome dinner and the briefing.

Day 2: from Milan to Lucca - 300 km / 186 miles

We will get our motorbikes after fulfilling all rental formalities. We will enter the motorway, destination South and, in the afternoon, we will get to Lucca. This town has medieval walls perfectly preserved, and it is really worth renting a bicycle to look around.

Day 3: from Lucca to Florence - 200 km / 124 miles

We will leave Lucca and quickly get to Pisa where we will visit the Piazza dei Miracoli where the very famous Leaning Tower is. After a lovely itinerary thru all these beauties, we will go back to our motorbikes visiting other villages like the beautiful SanGimignano known as the Towers village, that during Middle Age represented the real economic power. We will finally get to Florence, the cradle of the renaissance.

Day 4: rest day in Florence

Our day will be dedicated to discovering all the most beautiful corners of this wonderful town, full of monuments and artworks. For sure, the time will not be sufficient to know everything, and we will certainly get back.

Day 5: from Florence to San Marino 230 km / 142 miles

We will leave Florence and the lovely roads that cross all the Tuscan countryside, afther these twisty roads we will get to SanMarino. This is one of the two nations located onto the Italian territory other than the Vatican. From the Titano mountain where San Marino is, it is possible to enjoy a beautiful panorama up to the Adriatic Sea and all the Romagna coast. The city center will take us to Middle Age, and it is absolutely mandatory to walk along the path that join the three towers.

Day 6: from San Marino to Siena - 288 km /178 miles

After having done this beautiful experience we will drive towards Castel Fiorentino. Afterwards, we will get to Gubbio and then back to Tuscany in the beautiful town of Siena, ancient rival of Florence.


Day 7: rest day in Siena

We will dedicate the day to know Siena. In this town it takes place the famous Palio, twice per year. In the beautiful Piazza del Popolo, dominated by the elegant Tower of Mangia, they cover the pavement with a large amount of soil where will take place the famous bareback horses’ race. All the town districts compete for the victory in this crazy race that arouses enthusiasm among the locals.

Day 8: from Siena to Perugia - 180 km /112 miles

We will go back riding our motorbikes to newly discover ancient and beautiful villages. Which it is not difficult for a place like this! We will drive along the Road of the Crete, enjoying the spectacular views on the beautiful Tuscan hills with their cypress trees that stand out at the horizon. We will then go towards Trasimeno Lake, in Umbria to finally get to Perugia the capital of the Region.

Day 9: from Perugia to Orvieto - 180 km /112 miles

From Perugia we will keep on discovering this beautiful region that’s Umbria: Assisi, Terni where nearby there’s the Marmore Falls the highest in Italy. We will then get to Orvieto where we can see the beautiful Duomo facade.

Day 10: from Orvieto to Rome - 150 km /93 miles

This is the last day of our spectacular journey thru the center of Italy. We will leave Orvieto and will go to Civita di Bagnoregio, to know a beautiful and incredible village located on a once isolated peak now joint by means of a spectacular viaduct. We’ll see the volcanic lake of Bolsena and finally will reach Rome, the eternal town and capital of Italy. Here is where our journey ends and where we will give back our motorbikes. In the evening we will celebrate our tour with the farewell dinner.

Day 11: good flight!

After the breakfast transfer to the airport, arrivederci!

MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 8

If the minimum number of participants isn’t reached, the tour may be cancelled or run with a different format.

 

WHAT IS INCLUDED:

  • Motorcycle rental with bags. (A security deposit on the motorcycle requested).
  • The bike rental prices include 3rd part insurance and roadside assistance insurance in case of breakdown.
  • Welcome and farewell dinners.
  • Accommodation in 4-star hotels when available at the time of booking.
  • Transfer to and from the airport.
  • Multilingual tour leader.
  • Transfer to and from the rental agency.
  • Support van. The van will carry a replacement motorcycle available for participants in case of problems or breakdowns. You will be able to use the van for carrying suitcases (1 suitcase + 1 handbag per person),an extended service also for all the souvenirs you will buy along the way. The van also has two seats for passengers in case of need or for rest of the motorcycle trip!
  • A detailed road book with all the information and a map with the itinerary well marked.
  • Insurance covering most any medical issue during the trip including, doctors, ambulance, hospital and any appropriate family travel.

 

IS NOT INCLUDED:

  • Fuel for your motorcycle.
  • Tolls on motorways.
  • Entrance tickets to museums or other touristic sites.
  • Tips and gratuities
  • All meals except welcome and farewell dinners.
  • All beverages.
  • National and international flights
  • We also suggest that anyone traveling abroad for one of our tours consider purchasing "travel insurance". It can eliminate worry from unexpected situations that can arise in any travel plan.

 

TERMS OF PAYMENT:

  • Advanced payment of 1000 euro to be paid at the moment of the reservation (The deposit will be completely refundable in the event that we do not reach the minimum number of participants or in an agreed manner between the parties, if the tour will be made in modality different with different services).
  • Balance to be paid 60 days before the departure date subject to confirmation by our organization

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • Up to 60 days before the start date, the advanced payment is kept for the entire following season as credit towards a tour or a rental.
  • From the 59th day to the 15th day before the start date,  you lose the advanced payment. The balance is kept for the entire following season towards a tour or a rental.
  • From the 15th day before the start date, you lose the 50% of the total amount. The other 50% is kept for the entire following season towards a tour or a rental.
