Day 1: arrive in Rome
Arrival in Rome, where our tour starts from. We will settle ourselves at our Hotel and in the evening, we will have the welcome dinner in order to know the group and talk about journey details.
Day 2: from Rome to Naples - 230 km / 144 miles
We will get our motorbikes from the rental agency. After fulfilling all rental formalities, we will leave Rome and go direction South. Our destination will be the warm town of Naples. We recommend to eat here one the dishes that've made Naples famous worldwide: The Pizza! Certainly, the quality of the typical ingredients will contribute to make this, the pizza that you ever tried.
Day 3: Amalfi coast loop - 180 km / 113 miles - ferry night to Palermo
From Naples we will drive towards the wonderful Amalfi Coast, where we will find a road with lovely bends and breathless views on the Tirreno Sea. It is really amazing to drive on this road where we will see a lot of villages, one more lovely then the other, like Sorrento, Positano, Majori, Vietri. In the afternoon we will reach Pompei, the town covered by ashes after the Vesuvius eruption in 79 d.C.. This will be surely and exciting visit. In the evening we will take the ferry to Sicily and we will sail during the night.
Day 4: from Palermo to Erice - 160 km / 100 miles
We will arrive in Palermo and immediately we will take the coastal road that will lead us to know partially this wonderful island. We will get to San Vito Lo Capo, then Trapani and finally the typical little village of Erice, a pearl on the mountain.
Day 5: from Erice to Selilunte - 180 km / 113 miles
Today we will have an intense day, we will have fun driving and we will do our first archeological visit to Segesta Temple that was built in the period of Magna Graecia. In fact, in Sicily it is possible to find the best-preserved temples of this period. We will visit Selinunte, the biggest archeological park in Europe. We will be pleasantly and certainly satisfied with this day.
Day 6: from Selilunte to Marina di Ragusa - 230 km / 144 miles
Today we will be visiting the biggest archeological site in the world: The Valley of Temples in Agrigento. After enjoying this experience, we will go back on our motorbike, we will travel along the coast, getting to Marina di Ragusa in the afternoon, where we will be staying for the night.
Day 7: from Marina di Ragusa to Catania - 260 km / 163 miles
We will proceed along the coast where the sea will accompany us, coloring our horizons blue. We will arrive in the baroque city of Noto, then the road will take us to Piazza Armerina, where there is a Roman residence whose mosaics are incredible and very well preserved. From these mosaics it will be possible to discover, among other things, that Roman women were already wearing bikinis at that time. We will finally arrive in Catania
Day 8: Etna loop - 180 km /113 miles
After the intense day we spent yesterday, today we will enjoy a beautiful adventure driving near Etna, the most active volcano in Europe. It will be really exciting to drive along these scenic roads, under the crater. From above, the view will surely be exceptional.
Day 9: from Catania to Milazzo - 160 km / 100 miles
After the emotion of Etna, we will be able to see the gorges of the Alcantara river. You’ll see impressive walls with striation formed during the cooling time of the rocks after the eruption, millions of years before. We will arrive in Taormina, a jewel of the Sicilian tourism and then we will end the day in Milazzo, lovely town on the Tirreno Sea. We will enjoy our farewell dinner.
Day 10: from Milazzo to Palermo - 200 km / 125 miles - ferry night to Civitavecchia
We will leave from Milazzo and will start our journey that will lead us to Palermo by the end of the day. The panoramic road will allow us to see breathless views. This island keeps giving us emotions up to the end. Once arrived in Palermo in the evening, we will take the ferry that will take us to Civitavecchia.
Day 11: from Civitavecchia to Rome - 85 km / 53 miles
From Civitavecchia we will go back to Rome. We will return our motorbikes to the rental agency where our luggage will be waiting for us! We will friendly wave each other, remembering all the beautiful moments we shared.
Day 12: good flight!
After breakfast transfer to the airport, arrivederci!
