You can put yourself to the test by driving the historic BMW twin-cylinder off-road vehicle through unique and unforgettable scenarios.
This new tour is called Italian Top, really the best of the best, as it will lead us to know some of the wonders of the Bel Paese. We will start our tour from Milan and we will quickly go towards the mountains, the beautiful Alps, the famous Stelvio Pass i.e. every biker’s dream with its 88 hairpin bends. We will then enter the heart of the Dolomites, mountains with the unique pink-orange color, another motorbikers very aimed target. We will get to Venice, unique town built on the water, then Florence, Pisa, Siena, Assisi and then finally Rome, the capital of Italy. A spectacular itinerary that will allow us to know a lot of Unesco Heritage wonders.
This beautiful tour is a ride thru Europe and will take us to ten European countries, Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia. A good experience of very different countries among them. The comparison will be interesting. We will visit five cities, in details Munich, Wien, Prague, Budapest and Venice. A day each is needed for a proper visit.
This tour represents a high concentrate of fantastic mountain passes, from Dolomites to Stelvio, to Switzerland. It will be 1500 km (980 miles) approx. of exciting driving across amazing mountains that we will come to know along our journey among incredible views of forests, lakes and glaciers. The Dolomites are part of Unesco Heritage mainly for the materials they are made of which goes from orange to pink that mixes perfectly with the green of the trees and the blue sky forming a stunning contrast with the sunlight. The road network that cross the mountains is simply incredible.
Africa, a new Continent is waiting for us with incredible views and unique wildlife. To see these big animals in their natural environment it is something unforgettable, as difficult to explain emotion and it will certainly be for this reason that the term “Africa Sickness” exists. The same country will shock us with the natural beauties and the lovely roads where we will drive our motorbikes, the reliable BMW Gs 650s, that are really comfortable even for 2 persons. The roads are all paved except some eventual pieces, anyway easy to travel. We will get to Nairobi, the capital of Kenya and, in the same airport we will do the touristic visa which cost is approx. 50$ or the equivalent amount in Euro. Please be sure that your passport has a validity of 6 months at least.
Who have never dreamt about knowing the far lands of Himalaya, with the mountains that stun against the sky in the place where the highest mountains are? Now you’ll have the chance to see all this thanks to the great experience that we acquired during our fantastic tours. We need to recall that in India you drive on the left-hand side like in UK. It is not really so difficult, you need to be concentrated, especially during the first days. Our guide will help us for sure on this. We will drive near the Nanga Parbat and the K2 which are among the highest peaks in the world, up to the Khardung which is definitely the highest with its more than 5,000 mt (16,404 ft) height. The pictures that we will take in front of the sign is priceless! We will usually find cozy 4 stars hotels but sometimes we will need to adapt to less comfortable situations. No need to say, this is a journey for expert motorcyclists who knows how to resist even to bad weather conditions that sometime may surprise us. We need to be well equipped for the cold weather as, at these heights, the thermal effect in case of rain will put a strain on us. We need waterproof boots, thermal gloves and waterproof garment is highly recommended. The sleeping bag as well is recommended, in case of unforeseen events. No need to say that this will be an unforgettable journey.
A new destination is waiting for us, another challenge, i.e. arriving to the far most northern part of the European Continent, driving beside the beautiful coast of Norway. This country offers an amazing nature. The period we’ve chosen is July-August, the moment when the days are very long and basically you wake up and go to sleep with sun light. It is necessary to be equipped for the cold weather, as even if it is summer, temperature can go below 10° C (50°F). We will start from Oslo, the Capital of Norway, where our motorbikes will be waiting for us and from there, we will start our incredible adventure.
This tour will get us to know the mountain chain that divides Spain from France, that offers incredible passes and funny roads other than cultural spots of interest especially in the town of Carcassonne. This is an itinerary that it is worth do it, to know better the Spanish and French culture, two countries so near but so different. We will travel thru mountain passes which became famous with the Tour de France and that will passionate us during the ascents.
The one we propose is a new itinerary: Les Grandes Alpes! As reported on the signs in France, this is a beautiful itinerary that will take us visiting these mountains, offering breathless routes and views. Crossing Switzerland, France, Austria and Italy we will come to know the highest peak in Europe, the Mont Blanc with its almost 5 mt high! Climbing the glacier by cableway it’s really astonishing! We will cross some of the most important passes of Tour de France, like the Galibier, the Izoard or the Iseran and of Giro d’Italia, like the Stelvio, the wonderful Dolomites passes, the famous Swiss Eight and the Grossglockner in Austria. Definitely the best of the best! It will be eleven fabulous days.
This tour will allow us to know both, Corsica and Sardinia which are so near and so different but, with no doubts both are beautiful islands and fantastic for motorbiking. The roads in Corsica will be generally narrower due to the rocky soil. In Sardinia instead, the roads are winding and the bends are faster, plus the asphalt is in excellent conditions. To travel on these roads will be certainly an unforgettable experience.
